This was, single-handedly, the most epic and unforgettable trip we’ve ever been on. we got engaged here, on our own private island in Vanuatu, and we truly could not have imagined a more magical place to do it. Being able to say we got engaged on a private island is pretty hard to beat!

From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly special. What made it even more extraordinary was knowing that we were the only guests on the entire island. The island is the perfect size, just a couple of acres, and we loved walking around and exploring the beautiful flowers, tropical plants, and thoughtful landscaping. The lodging was incredible, with a dreamy canopy bed, full kitchen, romantic outdoor shower, and everything we coule possibly need.

The water was some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen- crystal clear, bright blue, incredibly calm and home to an incredible healthy reef. I’ve snorkeled in some pretty amazing places around the world and this was truly the best snorkeling I’ve ever experiened. We loved having access to the kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, Hobie sailboat, snorkel equipment and a boat and captain to explore the surrounding area.

The food was fantastic, and the beautiful beach and boathouse dinner setups made every meal feel like an occasion. We also loved how close the island was to the mainland, giving us the option to go out for a special night at Turtle Bay Lodge.

David, Nansi, and the entire team were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were incredibly helpful throughout the stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Somehow, we had wonderful meals, housekeeping, activities and help whenever we wanted it, while still feeling a though we had the entire island completely to ourselves.

That level of privacy was one of the most special parts of the experience. We could completely relax, be together, and enjoy each other without interruptions, schedules, other guests, or anyone else around. It gave us a kind of freedom and intimacy that you just don’t get at a normal resort.

From kayaking the Blue Hole to listening to the ocean at night and stargazing from the fish feeder, every moment felt magical. If you’re looing for somewhere unique, romantic, incredibly special, and genuinely private, Deeper Love Island is truly something else. This is a trip we will remember for the rest of our lives!
